Wildlife biologists have found pup scat in the Rogue River region, which confirms that the wolf pack residing in this southern part of the state has new pups this year. This Rogue Pack now has two sets of young wolves - the trio of pups born in Spring 2014 as well as the new pups born in 2015. This brings the total number of wolves in southern Oregon up to at least 9.
A remote camera in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest also captured a series of images of the Pack's "yearlings" on June 24, 2015. These yearlings were born to "OR-7" (the wolf who wandered California between 2011-2013) and his mate. See the time-lapse video of these images here, courtesy of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
